Born 'David Eugene Abbott' Feb 4, 1963 in San Mateo CA, currently residing in Mtn View, CA. Dave made his first electric guitar in high school wood shop (1981), got a few guitar lessons, and formed a rock & roll band with friends from school. Over the past 30 years, Dave has covered a lot of ground in the music biz, from solo & ensemble performance, to session recording, stage & sound tech, management, promotions, and so on. After a long hiatus from the music scene in 2004, Dave returned to his passion of playing guitar and performing on-stage. Dave Abbott plays the guitar with a tasty soulful edge that simply flows. His style has been compared to the likes of Eric Clapton, Michael Schenker, Gary Moore, Angus Young, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eddie Van Halen, and others. Dave currently fronts the rock & blues power trio, called the DAVE ABBOTT BAND. Dave Abbott Band currently performs all over the West Coast, and is available for your event. Dave is currently writing his own music, with plans to record & publish his long awaited first album. |
